  15. Yes, you're a little mistaken. The new Pentium Pro MMX chips have added 
  16. fast instructions which make writing multimedia code/3d code, etc. 
  17. easier, such as 4 multiplies in a tick, operations on 8-bytes in a tick, 
  18. etc. (I've heard it said that software 3d code written for an MMX chip 
  19. outperforms all the currently-available 3d hardware PC add-ons (or at 
  20. least those that are affordable :-)
